The Principles of Miracles
“What is a miracle? It is a correction. It reminds the mind that what it sees is false. It paves the way for the return of timelessness and the awakening to Love’s Presence.” The elucidation of Rananda on the first 50 principles of Miracles from A Course in Miracles is very clarifying.
What is miracle? It is a correction. It reminds the mind that what it sees is false. It paves the way for the return of timelessness and love’s awakening. A miracle contains the gift of grace, for it is given and received as one. Miracles occur naturally as expressions of love. Each day should be devoted to them. When they do not occur something has gone wrong. Miracles fall like drops of healing rain from Heaven on a dry and dusty world, where starved and thirsty creatures come to die. Now they have water. Now the world is green. And everywhere the signs of life spring up, to show that what is born can never die, for what has life has immortality. Rananda: “If you ever think that there is something missing, in any given moment, it is your love that is missing. Your love is what’s missing! So, don’t come to get love. Come to give love. Then you will recognize that You are full of love already!”
